|prometheus pro kilns||use the blue links below|
Prometheus kilns are used for fusing and slumping glass, making jewellery, sintering metal clays, enamelling, annealing beads, heat treating, lost wax burnout, casting, and melting, although they have other applications.
They both have built-in automatic digital programmers: the popular Orton AX4. And there's a choice of colours, options, upgrades, shelf kits, and accessories.
Although each kiln usually has a prime function, most kilns can do most things within their size and temperature limits. If you want help choosing, use the contact mail above the menu bar near the top-right of any page, or call.
The internet is an unchecked arena: almost everything is the best, the cheapest, or the newest, and is being sold by a premier dealer. To add to the lack of clarity, the final prices and VAT often only appear at the checkout.
Prices here are transparent: they're for UK-EU voltage, CE marked, CL CSA approved, and TUV tested kilns, and include comprehensive instructions, UK VAT, and free continuing support from a top-tier international distributor. Most smaller kilns, such as the Pro 1 and Pro 7, include a pro shelf kit: most larger kilns have several optional kits.
For prices, trading terms, and secure on-line shopping, use the shop link below the menu bar near the top-right of any page. The order form is on the shop page, after the price list near the bottom.
Your on-line privacy is important: you won't have to create an account, register, log on, remember a password, accept cookies, or join a club. We don't harvest email addresses, and nothing is tracked, kept, re-used, or given to third parties. And no ads, fake reviews, follow-ups, newsletters, or promotions. So there's nothing to opt out of.
As a distributor for kilns, furnaces, ovens, tumblers, and polishers, we provide comprehensive advice, competent technical support, a prompt repair workshop, and free telephone time if you have to fit parts: all valuable services.
|USING THIS RESOURCE||WHAT TO CLICK ON|
This information-rich resource describes every kiln clearly and in detail, so will help you make the correct choice. Although it works on a phone, tablet, and pad, it's better on a larger screen.
If you want to compare the different versions you could print the relevant pages. They should print correctly on A4 paper but check first in Print Preview so that nothing goes missing, particularly if you normally use wide margins. Fast or economy print will use less ink.
Nearly everything is just one click or tap away: use the links above and below the menu bar near the top of the page. The links will change colour just before you click.
There are no clickable links in the text. However, there are lots of mouse-over words that generate context-sensitive pop-ups: a useful, and optional, way of explaining things. Try it here.
UK-EU-US REGULATIONS AND GENERAL SAFETY
EU-made ceramic-fibre kilns, such as the Prometheus, have elements that are safely embedded in the rigidised fibre: so there's no danger of a mains-voltage electric shock. And they're CE marked.
It'll be too late to think about safety practices after an accident. Apart from kilns and accessories, the on-line shop includes heat-resistant ceramic blocks and cloths, digital reminder-timers, fire extinguishers, heat-resistant gloves, glare-resistant glasses, and clear protective glasses.
All particulates represent a health risk if they're breathed in, so it's important to wear a HEPA mask when mixing powders, handling charcoal, sanding dried metal-clays, and cleaning out your kiln. And, ideally, use clear protective glasses.
It's important to have your fire extinguisher near your kiln. Read the instructions as soon as you unpack it, learn how to treat burns, buy a basic first aid kit, and fit a smoke alarm. Although I've never heard of a fire caused by a kiln.
ACCESSORIES, PARTS, MATERIALS, TOOLS, POLISHERS, AND TUMBLERS
There's a wide range of kiln options and upgrades, kiln furniture, accessories, spare parts, materials, precision tools, safety equipment, polishers, and tumblers. To learn more, use the accessories link below the menu bar near the top of the page.
|PARAGON KILNS INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR||KILNS, OVENS, FURNACES, PARTS, AND SUPPORT|
is a Cherry Heaven internet resource. Cherry Heaven is a top-tier international distributor for Texas-made Paragon kilns, furnaces, and ovens, and has been one of their top-selling partners from 2006 to : a pleasing outcome since the UK is only one third the area of Texas and one fortieth the area of the US.
Although Paragon kilns are very reliable, we normally have relays, thermocouples, heating muffles, programmers, and shelf kits in stock: even small parts such as screws, door hinges, bits of wire, and element connectors. Elements are the exception as there are so many variants, but these arrive air-xpress regularly.
As this is an on-line resource, there isn't a paper catalogue or a price list. However, you can mail or call about kilns, power supplies, public area safety, a special project, business ideas, diagnostics, repairs, or reselling opportunities.
